Our day began by attending Sunday service at Christ Bible Church. The students loved how they were welcomed by the congregation! It was an awesome time of worship and teaching.
From there we went to Millennium Park to explore The Bean, fountains, and sculptures! Afterwards we enjoyed lunch at Navy Pier and headed to the Skydeck at Willis Tower! There were hardly any clouds so the view from the top of the Skydeck was amazing. We ended our time there with a devotional by the Southside windows.
We then went back to Sunshine for dinner and our welcome orientation with Sunshine. The students got to meet Jared Hamernick, Joel Hamernick's son and director of our program this week, and they are ready to jump into the ministry that Sunshine is doing.
After an awesome day....they were fast asleep by 11pm. ;-)
Thank you so much for your prayer support! You can also support and encourage our team by leaving comments (either a specific note to your student or a note to the entire team!) We read them out loud at meal times...so fun!
Keep praying for us!
Love from the 2017 Chicago Team!

Jame-Babe: Hope you and your entire team are having an awesome time at Project Chicago! We know you all are working very hard and making a tremendous impact on those you are serving. Be thinking about how to savor the experience, learnings, and love for all you are with in the days, weeks, and months after you get back. That will be the challenge as we tend to get sucked back into our daily habits so quickly. These types of life-changing opportunities need to do just that - change our lives and how we approach everyone and everything - including God! Love you!!! -Mom

ReplyDeleteHey little fluff! It looks like you are having lots of fun in Chicago! The pizza looked right up your alley...,hope you left some for the others. Loved the picture of you on the sky deck. We had a huge storm go through on Sunday-Pam survived in the wind, rain and hail. We even lost power for a couple of days so it's been really quiet around here. Dad, Em and Fran say hi too. We are praying for you and your Chicago mates! We can't wait to hear about your adventure. Keep smiling!😊 Love you tons, Mom
